I hope everything is ok! I thoroughly enjoyed your post. I think because I can sooo identify with it as a mom. As parents, we always wonder if we are doing the right things, saying the right things, disciplining the right way, setting a good example.....and the list goes on! We are our worst judges! However, when it comes to food, I worry that I didn't set a good example for my kids in their younger years. I struggled with weight problems for so long, still do, and I really don't want them to have issues with weight when they get older. Girls have so much pressure now to be thin....unfortunately, the media doesn't represent "healthy" girls very often. I can identify with your McDonalds memories. We used to drive out to the McDonalds in Twin Lake almost every Saturday morning to meet my Brother-in-law, his wife, and kids. We would sit, eat, visit and drink coffee, while the kids played in the playland. I know.....gross! I did let my kids play in them! The kids do have McD's memories. Well, he did just that. He invaded Iraq, started a war, and killed people. What do you think? Is killing thousands of innocent civilians okay when you are doing a little government makeover? Our country is in debt until forever, we don't have jobs, and we live in fear. We have invaded a country and been responsible for thousands of deaths. We have lost friends and influenced no one. No wonder most of the world thinks we suck. Thanks to what george bush has done to our country during the past three years, we do!
